Job Title: Campus Librarian and Assessment Coordinator

Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Pay Grade: AISD Salary Schedule
Terms of Employment: 10 month + 10 days a year. Wages according to current schedule.

Primary Purpose:
Implement state and federally mandated student assessment programs. Oversee all aspects of state testing administration and reporting. Ensure security and integrity of testing materials and data in accordance with state and federal requirements. Manage library services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree
Valid Texas Teacher certificate
Minimum two years teaching experience
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of the state testing program and accountability system
Ability to use student test data systems
Ability to perform statistical analysis
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Understand and carry out oral and written directions with minimal accountability controls
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Experience:
2 years of experience as a librarian in a public school setting
Experience with online library applications and resources.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement procedures for insuring security and confidentiality of state-mandated testing programs and other assessments.
- Direct and oversee test implementation and monitor testing activities to ensure that procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate all CBE testing, including communication with students, parents, and staff.
- Consult with staff to provide appropriate testing accommodation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) students and students receiving special services.
- Support the goals and objectives of the school district and follow all state and district policies related to the functions of the position.
- Coordinate and supervise state and federal mandated testing, serve as a resource in the administration and data disaggregation of such tests.
- Coordinate and disseminate testing program information, provide all necessary training.
- Ensure that the testing programs for the campus are supportive of the instructional goals and objectives of the district and the attainment of the campus performance objectives.
- Collect test data and other relevant data necessary to solve problems affecting the district.
- Coordinate administration of all campus mandated tests, serve as a resource in the creation, administration, and data disaggregation of such tests.
- Remain updated on current testing information from the TEA.
- Organize the adoption, ordering and distribution of test materials for use in testing programs in the district.
- Manage all library responsibilities, including oversight, organization, and monitoring of library materials and budget.
- Provide group instruction and individual guidance to students and other library users to help locate resources and use research techniques. Serve as an information resource for use of library media center materials.
- Work with teachers to convey appropriate use of materials and assist in scheduling material use in classroom instruction.
- Design, develop, and present staff development for teachers on the available of campus and district learning resources with an emphasis in technology. Ordering library materials following district process and procedures.
- Make recommendations for acquisition and manage the processing, organizing, distribution, maintenance, and inventory of library/media/technology resources.

- Represent the district on assigned committees.
