Within this branch, the Lending and Resources team delivers Reading Services that support schools across New Zealand, ensuring students have access to quality reading engagement and inquiry learning resources that inspire curiosity and lifelong learning.
The role | Te tūnga
As a Librarian in our Auckland-based team, you will play a key role in delivering responsive, high-quality lending and resource services to schools. This is a fixed term opportunity covering parental leave from April to November 2026.
Working collaboratively across teams, you will increase access to curated, relevant content and support teachers and school library staff to strengthen reading engagement and digital literacy. You will contribute to collection development, provide expert advice on electronic and online resources, and participate in national initiatives that promote effective school library services.
This role also supports online service delivery, including participating as an operator for AnyQuestions, helping connect New Zealand students with trusted information and guidance.
You will be part of a highly engaged team focused on continuous improvement, customer experience and innovative service delivery.
