As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badge checks as needed, and respond to calls for service using clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, requesting additional resources, and supporting emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and common areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and assist with directing visitors to appropriate destinations in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership using approved documentation methods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
