Library Aide (2026-2027) - Sharon Elementary School

Work days:  188 (Includes 6 Holidays)

Hours: 7.0 hours pr day

Pay rate: $21.12 per hour

Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of duties in providing the students and staff a professional library and media center, including assuming a lead role in the school's Accelerated Reading program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.  Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of children's literature and reading programs.
• Ability to create engaging library programs and activities.
• Proficient in using library management software and technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and students.
