Parental Leave Full-Time Contract Position - June 2026 to June 2027
Preferred Diploma of Library/Information Services or Certificate IV in Library/Information Services or equivalent
The successful candidate will have good time management and organisational skills.
A flexible approach to daily tasks is essential.
The ability to prioritise effectively and adjust to the changing needs of the library environment.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work and contribute as part of a team
Experience working with students
Interest and knowledge of recent literature publications would be an asset but not essential
Well-developed team skills as a member who actively contributes to a collaborative environment within the library and the broader school community
Current Working with Children Check
Cataloguing, processing and book covering
Circulation of resources for students and staff
Create engaging displays and support reading initiatives and special events
Reading to some Primary classes
Assist with the shelving of books
Assist with supervision of students studying in the library and in break times
Assist with stocktake
To maintain the library as a space that is welcoming and conducive to the students’ learning.
