We are seeking a student that is passionate about Pacific cultures, languages and communities to help grow and enhance our Mātangireia Pacific Collection, support Pacific Language Week displays & events, and contribute to projects that emphasise the value of Indigenous knowledge. This role will offer hands‑on experience with our unique collections, the opportunity to shape inclusive library spaces, and the chance to work within a team grounded in Kaupapa Māori and Pacific values. Responsibilities include supporting the development, care and visibility of Pacific knowledge and resources within the library. This includes assisting with the Te Moana‑nui‑ā‑kiwa archive project, helping to install and maintain various Pacific Language Week displays, and contributing to the ongoing preservation and organisation of our Pacific collection.
This is a part-time role based at our Hillcrest Campus in Hamilton, with hours being flexible to fit around your study (up to 15 hours per week).
